How can electric energy be replaced as a fundamental measure for prevention and control of air pollution? How can it be more scientifically implemented? How to accelerate the replacement of electric energy? Recently, The Henan Province Green Development Energy Alternative Seminar held in Jiyuan tried to answer these questions.

Experts attending the meeting believe that electric energy has the advantages of being clean, safe and convenient. Implementing electric energy substitution is conducive to improving the electrification level of the province and improving the quality of life of the people. It is an important measure to increase the proportion of electric coal and reduce air pollution, and promote the energy consumption revolution. Promoting the development of clean energy is of great significance.

It is reported that since 2016, Henan Province (the province, the same below) replaced electric energy as a fundamental measure for air pollution prevention and control, and accelerated the replacement of electric energy. A total of 1268 electric energy substitution projects were implemented throughout the year, with a total replacement of 7.45 billion kwh. . So far this year, the province's “double replacement” (by electricity for coal, gas for coal) has completed 280,000 households, accounting for 28% of the annual task volume, of which Jiyuan City has taken the lead in the province to promote carbon fiber electric central heating Coal replacement work.

According to the relevant experts of the Provincial Development and Reform Commission, the “Implementation Plan for Electric Energy Substitution in Henan Province (2016-2020)”, which was published in our province, clarified the main goal of electric energy replacement in the province. By 2020, the annual energy replacement will be formed in the energy terminal consumption segment. The capacity of bulk coal and fuel consumption of 6.5 million tons of standard coal has driven coal to account for about 2.6 percentage points of coal consumption, and electric energy accounted for more than 2 percentage points of terminal energy consumption.

Gu Jianquan, Henan Provincial Government Development Research Center, told Dahe.com that the proportion of China's thermal coal and electrification is low. A large amount of loose coal and fuel consumption is one of the main factors causing severe haze.

“At present, the annual consumption of loose coal in the country is about 700-800 million tons, mainly used in heating small boilers, industrial small boilers (kiln furnaces), rural production and living, etc., accounting for about 20% of total coal consumption, much higher than the EU. The United States is less than 5%."

Gu Jianquan said that a large amount of loose coal was directly used for combustion without being cleaned, resulting in a large amount of atmospheric pollutants. In addition, the use of fuel for automobiles, aircraft auxiliary power units (APUs) and vessels on the port is also an important source of air pollution emissions. The replacement of electric energy is of great significance for promoting the revolution of energy consumption, implementing national energy strategies, and promoting the development of clean energy.
